Biography —
Libby Queen is the director of ceremonies and special events at the University of Kansas. Housed within KU’s Office of Public Affairs, the Office of University Ceremonies and Special Events organizes public-facing events that elevate the university’s public image and brand, including but not limited to Commencement, Traditions Night, and faculty recognition events.
Prior to joining KU, Libby served in multiple roles at the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). Most recently, Libby served as GCSAA’s senior manager of conference events and meeting planning where she managed logistics and event planning for the association’s annual national conferences and meetings. From 2015-2018, she worked in fundraising for the GCSAA Foundation.
Libby has a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State University.
